The collaboration with Torben Madsen and Mogens Kristensen, both of whom have had long careers at Aarhus Arkitekterne (later Link Arkitektur), dates back to before 1999, when VOLA relocated from Aarhus to Horsens.
Mogens Kristensen, as a responsible partner, oversaw the renovation of VOLA's headquarters in Horsens in 1998, the expansion in 2003, and later the establishment of the VOLA Academy in Horsens, inaugurated in 2008.
Torben Madsen has designed the VOLA showroom in Amsterdam (2005), the VOLA showroom in Vienna (2007), the international VOLA showroom in London (2009), the VOLA showroom in Pakhus 48, Copenhagen (2009), as well as VOLA showrooms in Brussels and Munich (2011), Shanghai (2012), Stockholm (2014), Melbourne (2018), Søtorvet in Copenhagen, and Kystvejen in Aarhus (2019). Most recently, he worked on the interior design of the VOLA showroom on Margaret Street in London, set to open in 2024.
In 2006, the freestanding bath mixer, FS1, was created. This was followed in 2008 by the freestanding basin mixer, FS2, a freestanding shower, FS3, and the T39 towel warmer for VOLA. In 2010, development began on integrated waste bin and paper dispenser solutions, culminating in a completely new round series: RS1, RS2, RS3, and RS4. This series expanded in 2013 with the touchless soap dispenser, RS10. The round overhead shower, 060, was introduced in 2012, followed by the round hand shower, T60, and a spa series in 2015. The latest product, a hand sanitizer dispenser (RS11), was launched in 2019.
Several new VOLA products are in the pipeline, with the first expected to launch in 2025.
