Hôtel Le Garage

The Le Garage hotel, placed by the seaside, between the golf course and the Lighthouse in Biarritz, surprising space in this former airplane hangar, then a garage for very beautiful cars from the Belle Époque to the pre-war period, with its incredible architecture, all facing the 'ocean.

A little memo for a trip to Biarritz.

Biarritz, already a whaling port in the 17th century, the holiday resort of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie... the craze for sea bathing in Biarritz, which drove the elite and all the brilliant European society 25 km from the Spanish border... the seaside resort became the height of fashion until the Belle Époque and the Roaring Twenties of the 1930s.

The surf sequence in the 1960s when other gods like Joël and Arnault de Rosnay enchanted the Basque coast and all the surfing madmen from Hawaii to California or Australia, making Biarritz the stage on the route of the waves towards Africa and the South Atlantic... and a new golden youth will once again change the history and magic of Biarritz.
