Rising gracefully above the bustling cityscape of Zhengzhou in Henan province, China, stands the impressive 25-story Le Méridien Hotel. Designed by the renowned Shanghai-based architecture and design firm Neri & Hu, this architectural marvel has undergone a remarkable transformation. What was once a concrete shell has been reborn as an avant-garde tower, characterized by a striking arrangement of irregular, stacked boxes that appear to cantilever in a captivatingly unconventional manner.
Upon entering, guests are enveloped in an interior design that perfectly complements the hotel's soaring heights and panoramic city views. This 350-room establishment is organized around a central four-story atrium, inspired by the nearby Longmen Caves, renowned for their intricate Buddhist art carved into limestone. The interior aesthetic seamlessly melds sandstone and walnut materials, accented by the use of green-tinted recessed windows that connect different public areas.
Throughout the hotel, you'll encounter thoughtfully designed spaces that provide visual stimulation and a sense of wonder. Mirror-ceiling corridors and bespoke chandeliers, strategically placed, contribute to the overall sensory experience, making Le Méridien Hotel Zhengzhou a truly captivating destination for travelers.
